Mid-America Association for Computers in Education - MACE

Spring MACE '11 Presenter Information

This conference is for school board members, administrators, library media specialists, technology coordinators, teachers, office personnel, and any individual using technology in the classroom or office.

The MACE organization is committed to providing educators with the opportunity to share innovations, philosophies, and replicable practices designed to improve teaching and learning with respect to educational technology.

Our conferences promote teacher-leaders as presenters who serve as models and advocates for effective technology integration. Conference sessions should be designed to reflect current research and tie integration initiatives to state and national standards for curriculum.

The MACE organization invites you to provide, share, and exchange your ideas, techniques, materials, and procedures for using technology in an educational environment.

Presenters who are technology using educators are encouraged to help spread the word about the best practices applied in your classrooms and school networks. We want to promote and encourage appropriate use of both hardware and software for the improvement of education.

Parking

The parking garage at K-State is open and MACE attendees will be able to park in the garage during our conference. The parking garage is just across the street (east) from the Alumni Center.

MACE will provide 200 parking garage passes to attendees on a first come, first serve basis. If you do not have a parking garage pass you must pay the $1.50 per hour fee when exiting the garage.

As you arrive at the conference on Thursday you can park in the garage and take a parking ticket at the entrance.  As you register for the conference you can pickup your parking garage pass which is good for both Thursday and Friday, with unlimited trips into and out of the garage.

So that MACE can get as many people as possible parking garage passes we are encouraging car pooling.

If you get a parking garage pass on Thursday, leave early, or do not plan to come back on Friday, please consider bringing the pass back to the MACE registration table after exiting the garage.

Do not lose your parking garage pass, please remember to bring it with you when you return on Friday.

If you are staying in the hotel across the street from the Alumni Center we ask you to leave your car in the hotel parking lot.

This is one more item at this year's conference that is a new endeavor for us. As we work through this new process together please let us know how you think it is, or is not, working. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
